If I were mayor, I would work toward a more equal city. I would meet with people to listen to their problems and work together to make our city better. I am lucky to have a great school, a house to live in, and always plenty of food. But, not everyone shares my privilege and that’s something that I want to change. I would want to work with all different types of people to make sure that housing, food, and good education are available to all, not just a few. Before COVID, the world wasn’t perfect and COVID has only made that worse. But if we were to go back to normal it still wouldn’t be a great world. To help make it better, I would make sure that people have the option to meet up safely in socially distant groups. I imagine the town where I live is place where problems would be solved with words, not fists and there would be no violence. To do that we need to look back at our problems to solve them. One thing I would try to do is make it so that the police are nice, not rude, and spread them throughout the city to make sure people weren’t being violent. Finally, I would make sure that people who have less than others and don’t have enough money will still be able to get lunch at school and will be able to get enough food during this hard time. That is what I would do if I were mayor.
